Journey of a Groningen Girl
One thing I remember about my very first vsit to Holland was it just felt like a second home the minute I crossed the German border. Something about it which is hard to pinpoint - but defintely felt like Yes I could live here. Although I was not born there ( I was born in Asutralia) half of my genetic material has its origins in Gronigen and I wonder whether it is this which made me feel this way or just the great warmth and friendliness of the Dutch country and people. It could be as simple as the inviting way they open their homes through their window displays - not sure - anyone else feel this way?
